English Requesting multilingual newcomer support from BRFN in Oakland BRFN was founded by newcomers from Burma and now supports refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants from varied backgrounds. Its staff-language list includes Dari, Pashto, Farsi, Urdu, Hindi, Tigrinya and Amharic. Other languages are handled through a professional interpreting line; the former organization name does not establish that a Burmese-speaking worker is always on site. Use the official Contact Us form to explain your language, location and the issue you need help with. The Oakland address is 1811 11th Avenue. The website requires advance contact to arrange an appointment, rather than assuming walk-in access. Support and referrals are complemented by workshops that have covered housing, employment, finances and basic digital skills. These topics do not constitute a current timetable, housing vacancy or benefits approval. Ask staff about eligibility, charges and the next documents needed, and avoid uploading personal evidence in public forum replies.
