Dealers must provide a written estimate including the total repair price. A trip charge must be quoted beforehand, and diagnosis and repair work can also carry charges; inspection is not automatically free. Additional parts or labor require disclosure of the total repair charge and approval. A complaint can follow an unsatisfactory initial repair. If another dealer examines the item, ask for an invoice statement describing what was wrong with the earlier work. Retain model and serial numbers, estimates and payment records. BHGS handles relevant repair or installation issues, not the sale of the products themselves, and does not regulate parts prices.
