Its current beginner exception allows students with no or little Korean background to register for LTKO 001A without a prior placement result, followed by a first-class assessment confirming beginner status. Students with home-language background or previous Korean study are instructed not to enroll in LTKO 001A. They must first take placement assessment for an appropriate higher course.
