English
San Juan Adult Education: free English, high school and GED preparation
San Juan Adult Education serves adults aged 18 and older. The school lists English as a Second Language, high school subjects, GED preparation and Adult Basic Education as tuition-free. Career or community-interest classes, books and supplies may carry separate costs; not every offering is free.
Its FAQ describes online registration and requires on-site placement tests for specified programs, while the general school-information page also describes office registration. Use the official entry point or call a campus to confirm the enrolment, assessment and orientation steps for your chosen course. Submitting a form does not secure a place. Registering for GED preparation is also separate from booking and paying for the GED examination.
Contact Sunrise Tech Center at 7322 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA 95610, phone 916-971-7654; or Encina Adult Center at 1400 Bell St., Sacramento, CA 95825, phone 916-979-8311. Prospective high school diploma students can ask about academic counselling and evaluation of existing transcripts to identify remaining coursework.
