Benefits cover time away from work on or after May 1, 2026. Use the state Labor Department portal to check eligibility, supporting documents and the applicable plan. Benefit approval and job protection are separate tests: workers employed by the same employer for at least 120 consecutive days are entitled to return to their job or a comparable position.
