It includes an initial visit, up to eight prenatal/postpartum visits, birth or pregnancy-loss support and up to two extended three-hour postpartum visits. Up to nine further postpartum visits need an additional recommendation from an eligible licensed practitioner; the standing document is insufficient. Fee-for-service members can consult the county-based enrolled-doula directory. Managed-care members should contact their plan’s Member Services for help arranging care.
