English Discovery Shops donations: confirm local categories and intake hours first When sorting clothing, jewelry or household items, use the American Cancer Society’s Discovery Shops page to find a local donation location. This is a reuse and resale route, and accepted categories are not identical at every shop. The organization asks for clean, gently used items in good condition. Inspect items first, then contact the intended shop with the categories and quantity; another thrift store’s acceptance list should not be assumed to apply. Many locations accept walk-in donations during business hours, but the official page still recommends calling to confirm donation hours before visiting. Wait for the shop’s answer if suitability is unclear. This guide does not reserve intake capacity or offer a specific item for sale. Obtain current locations and contacts through the official local-shop finder. Location: US, United States. Checked October 4, 2026 (Pacific time).
