Qualifying students receive a gold seal on a diploma or transcript. School participation is voluntary, so attendance at a California public school does not automatically mean the program is offered. Ask a counsellor or administrator whether your school participates, then confirm acceptable English and additional-language evidence, required results and school deadlines. The Department of Education provides current requirements and participation information.
