English Better ATX THRIFT HOUSE: shopping days differ from donation days Better ATX's THRIFT HOUSE is at 4901 Burnet Road, Austin, TX 78756, telephone 512-458-2633. The volunteer-led nonprofit uses shop income to support local programs rather than pass each item's sale price back to its donor. Its current homepage lists shopping Wednesday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., and donations Monday–Saturday during the same hours. Those are different sets of days: a Monday or Tuesday donation inquiry does not establish that shopping is available. Describe quantity, condition and any bulky objects, confirming acceptance before arranging transport. Listed categories include clothing, furniture, books, art and collectibles, but that description is not today's inventory. Some surplus usable goods are shared with other nonprofit partners instead of being sold at this shop. This guide identifies the location and published schedule without promising free goods, a sale, collection or a particular household's eligibility for the organization's programs. Recheck arrangements before visiting. Official sources: https://www.betteratx.org/ Checked: October 2, 2026 (Pacific Time). Evergreen guide, not a live notice. Original publication date not stated.
