English Goodwill Central Texas computer recycling: back up and erase personal data first Goodwill Central Texas participates in Dell Reconnect for computers and related electronics. Equipment is assessed for reuse, refurbishment or recycling; the program does not promise that every donated machine will be resold. It is not an advertisement for a particular used computer in stock. Back up needed files and remove personal information using an appropriate method before donation. The official page disclaims responsibility for data loss by Goodwill or Dell. A receipt therefore is not proof that every file has been securely erased. Seek suitable technical assistance if you cannot establish how to handle the storage device. Choose a location from the current directory and ask about accepted equipment, accessories, condition and intake hours. Austin's Anderson Lane listing gives 2900 W. Anderson Lane #3 and 512-637-7521 as one contact to check. Do not rely on an old Computer Works name or third-party article. Free recycling is not a promise of free repair, cash purchase or additional data-security protection.
